Hello,
Does anyone know how to fix the below error:
(30016) Invalid username or password reported by server, or bad private key
Much appreciated!!!
I have a Cisco 6500 that someone changed the enable password on it and don't remember. I am running Cat tools 3.11 that still backs up the configuration of that device everyday. How can I reset or recover the enable password by using Cat tools?
Hi there,
I have an issue running Version Table report on the new Cisco Catalyst 9k switches.
The error I get is "Client Script error: Invalid procedure call or argument: 'Mid' on line: 4551
Is this something that can be fixed?
Hi!
I'm trying to backup the config of our new HP (H3C) Switches (5120, 5800, 10500). The script I created out of the Custom.Template is not working. The prompt of the switches is "<SWITCHNAME>", not "SWITCHNAME>" as in Ciscos IOS. So the script returns the error "Did not receive expected prompt when entering Enable mode".
Has anybody managed to create a script that works with the HP H3C switches?
Regards, lls71
I have used CatTools in the past to backup Cisco switch/router configs and I'd like to use it to backup Brocade ICX and FCX switch configs. It looks likes the software supports "backup running config" but not "backup config TFTP". I don't understand the differences between the two categories. Can someone explain?

I have a Palo Alto 3050 running 8.0.6. I created a job to send some commands to the firewall and write the output to a file.
The test commands I'm sending are:
set cli pager off
set cli scripting-mode on
show system info
It really doesn't matter what command I send I never receive any output. Here is what is written to the file/the output:
set
fw(active)> set cli [Kjodonnel-adm@NBDCRPIFW1(active)> set cli pager fw(active)> set cli pager off
fw(active)> set
fw(active)> set cli
fw(active)> set cli scripting-mode fw(active)> set cli scripting-mode on
fw(active)> show system info
I can't tell if the firewall isn't interpreting the carriage return of is experiencing an issue with the interactive session.
Wondering if anyone else experienced this issue. I opened an case with support almost 3 weeks ago. Uploaded a bunch of debugs and screen shots, but not response from tech support since......
Thanks!
Trying to setup Enterprise DLink switch device configuration backup. Using SSHv2, when I manually launch SSH from the device profile I am able to login, when the script runs we get that error.
Running ERS 4900 swtich stacks with CatTools. Everything was working great for awhile until we needed to upgrade one of our stacks from version 7.2.0.009 to 7.6.0.007 due to an unrelated issue. Now when the backup is being performed in CatTools I get this error: Failed to connect. Reason: (30044) No Available encryption algorithms match with the sever..
Here is the full error log:

The switch is definitely running SSH. I did notice that connecting directly with the 'Telnet/SSH' button from the devices menu did not work and had a similar error. To resolve this, I had to update PuTTY to the newest version. Now that PuTTY is updated, this option now works however, i am still getting the same error with CatTools.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Does anyone know if there is a certain number of places when setting up an action rules in a ticket request?
I have attempted adding more questions to answer on our HR tickets, but they do not show up after adding.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.
Hardware: Cisco WRT54GL v1.1 with DD-WRT firmware dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin. SNMP enabled on the router and I can successfully telnet into the router using PuTTY.
CatTools Device Information:
Device Type: Cisco.Router.General
Group: Default
Name: Cisco Router 1
Host Address: 192.168.1.1
File Name: Cisco_Router_1
Model: Other
Connect via: Direct connect
Method: Telnet
Port: 23
Problem: I need away to control a variety of routers (the WRT54GL is one of them) in a lab environment changing their SSID, encryption scheme et al. Solarwinds Kiwi CatTools was recommended as a potential solution. The notion being control the router via CLI commands or a series of custom configurations. When evaluating the product I tried performing the Device.Backup.Running Config operation. I continually get the error "Failed to receive 'Current configuration' line in device config file". I reveice the same error when running Device.Backup.TFTP
I am a bit new to this. Is there something obvious I've missed?

I am trying to pull the runnin config from a device where after I login I get the following prompt:
Please press "Enter" to continue!
I am having trouble handling this with the Post-Login Message and Keystroke Variations. It is apparent that I can't use quotes in the Post-Login message, but I don't see how to escape that character so that it is accepted. Past that, it is not clear how to send a "enter" pres with the Post-Login Keystroke. Is it like a "space" where I just need to literally type out "enter" or is there some code I should be using instead?
Has anyone else run into this issue? What can I do to resolve it?

I have some connection problems with some of my devices in my network. I have about 50 Riverbed 250L cashe boxes that I routinely back up each night with a kiwi script.
Lately I have been getting errors such as:
Connect failed:(30044) No available encryption algorithms match with the server.
I am sure I have my encryption set up right, as I have only about a 15% failure and they are all set up the same.
Any suggestion I could check into?

Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to backup load balancer by loadbalancer.org?
From their manuals we have to do a backup using their web gui or use the function of wget from another Linux box.
Wondered if there was a script that enabled us to use wget functions.
Thanks

Using 3.11.2 but having trouble backing up the config for Cisco WLC 5800. 1-error : TFTP Backup failed: error with commands or TFTP file not found. Using the Device.Backup.TFTP activity. Device variation with additional command: Showing Running Config is checked and I entered show run. AAA username/password and SSH username/password are filled in along with the initial login requires username/password being checked. Not sure if anyone else has had issues, or perhaps I am missing a critical setting?
Hi there,
I am running Cat Tools 3.3.17 and trying to backup all my device configs to one server.
I am having an issue with 2 HP switches - I receive a
Failed to connect to 172.x.x.x |
I am not too familiar with setting the device information - password, manager password etc. I have it for Direct connect via SSH2
Any help would be grateful!

I have a question, I have 2 Cisco WiSM (Cisco 6500 blade) that I am trying to use Cat tools to backup the config files on a regular schedule. I have run into the following error when trying to run the activity: "Did not receive expected response to command: configshow" and then Cat tools disconnects from the switch. I used telnet to issue the show running-config command and what I noticed is right after the show running-config command is issued the switch prompts with: "Press Enter to continue or <CTRL-Z> to abort" or "--More-- or (q)uit " and sits there until there is user intervension. How can I automate the CR to continue command so I can use Cattools to pull the configuration of these switches? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
